WMRC Membership Changes in 2023
Club Membership has undergone a radical change in the last six months, as we have recently moved to new premises in the Bestwood park area of Nottingham. The new venue has a multitude of facilities available that we could only have dreamt of a few years ago, and this will ultimately enable us to provide a range of outstanding features for the avid Railway Modeller.
Primarily, the new hall we would be using to run a layout in, has an actual size of 50 feet by 50 feet, meaning a finished layout with a 40 foot straight is a possible option and to this end we are currently constructing a six track layout to this specification to fit into a footprint of 38 feet by 15 feet. It is our intention to build other layouts in O gauge and N gauge formats to make the best use of the available space.
Current 2023 Membership Details
To join the club there will now be an annual fee of £40.00 per person paid as a once a year payment. This will be in addition to a running cost of £3.00 per session per person at each of the club running nights, Tea & Coffee will be provided in this nightly fee (along with the odd biscuit thrown in for good measure).
There is a PDF membership Form at the bottom of this page for those who wish to print off their own copy and fill it out in the traditional way before sending it in to the Membership Secretary. There are other formats supplied as well for those who are somewhat more Tech Savvy and want to fill out and send in their details online. Word document and In-Design files are supplied as these are likely to suit most common laptop or CPU requirements.
