The Woodthorpe Model Railway Club is known if not renowned for it’s Cardboard Modelling. This section of the club resides mainly in the hands of John Fownes or “Cardboard John” as he is affectionally known by all in the Midlands area.
John’s skill as a modeller is evident for all to see in the series of images contained within this article. There isn’t a subject, era or Railway Company that John hasn’t modelled over the years and his pride and joy is the superb Classic A4 Pacific Locomotives that are shown if the first of the images here.
